Walter is a St Bernard. AI has given him his shape, providing us with a visual reimagining of one of Switzerland’s best-known national dogs. The markings on the head are typical, as is the barrel we see.

Many stories revolve around this dog breed, which is associated with the Great St Bernard Hospice. These dogs are first said to have assisted monks in day-to-day life back in the 17th century, and to have helped search for people who were lost.

The breed back then was a far cry from the bulky, good-natured St Bernard we see today. These days, the St Bernard is primarily used as an assistance and therapy dog.
