Bear

The “Bear” design was created as part of the Swiss Digital Days in autumn 2022. Visitors to the digitalswitzerland Swiss tour had the opportunity to choose a term from each of the categories “Switzerland” and “digitization” as well as an art style. Based on these choices, the software Midjourney used artificial intelligence to create around 2,500 unique artworks. A selection of these was used by Swiss Post for the Swiss Crypto Stamp 3.0.

The 13 special editions are each dedicated to a Swiss theme. “Bear” was one of the terms in the “Switzerland” category that participants were able to choose at the terminal. The bear symbolizes Switzerland’s natural beauty, conservation and the strength of the country. The bear has been almost extinct in Switzerland since the beginning of the 20th century. Since the summer of 2005, bears from Trentino in Italy have crossed the border into Graubünden every year.
